Nylon is a hydrophobic membrane that is chemically stable and inert. It exhibits low protein binding, and its main application is filtration of non-aqueous samples. Prior to filtering of aqueous samples, the membrane must be pre-wetted with a water-miscible organic solvent.

Whatman Uniflo 25 mm syringe filters from Cytiva’s Life Sciences business combine premium quality with economic efficiency.
