Description

  • PSL has shown that it meets ISO 17025 and has been accredited to manufacture, calibrate and certify viscosity oils by UKAS. Kinematic viscosity oil standards as specified by ISO 3104-3105, ASTM D445-D446, IP71, ASTM D2170, BS 188.Nominal viscosities (mm2s-1, cSt) - kinematic. Nominal viscosities (mPas, cP) - dynamic.
  • Viscosity oil standards
    PSL viscosity oil standards are supplied with UKAS certificates of calibration providing the user with official assurance of the competence of the calibration work carried out. UKAS certificates of calibration provide several temperatures as shown on the table below together with uncertainties of measurement. PSL viscosity oil standards, supplied in 500mL containers, are Newtonian in character and are suitable for use with many types of viscometers including, in particular, glass capillary and rotational viscometers as well as flow cups.
