Used in the treatment of pancreatic islet cell tumors. Streptozotocin, MP Biomedicals is a glucosamine-nitrosourea, a DNA-alkylating agent that enters cells via the GLUT2 glucose transport protein. It is used to treat malignant insulinoma and to induce Ty

Streptozocin is used to treat pancreatic islet cell tumors, including malignant insulinoma. It is also used to induce Type 1 diabetes in animals for medical research purposes.
