Dissolves most refractories. Not suitable for highly acidic samples. Samples must be fully oxidized.Spectroflux 100, Lithium tetraborate is used in enamels. Further, it is a spectroscopic fluxing agent which is utilized for fusing basic oxides, glass, alumino-silicates, ceramics, carbonates, cement, steel, aluminum, soil, concrete mixes, bauxites, magnesites and rare earth oxides. In addition to this, it is used for dissolution of samples containing a high concentration of basic oxides and carbonate rocks and aluminosilicates.
