Description

Specially designed ferrule and nut system developed specifically for fused silica GC columns and GC/MS systems

Constructed from identical material, the ferrule and nut expand and contract at the same rate as the temperature rises and falls. Use with most major GC/MS instrument interfaces.

SilTite Ferrules

  • Unique 100% noncontaminating SilTite metal does not need retightening after use
  • Form a strong permanent airtight seal around the capillary column
  • Ferrule base is flat to form tight leak-resistant seal with MS interface
  • Ideal for high pressure applications
  • Maximum temperature: 500°C (932°F)
  • Must be used with supplied SilTite nut
SilTite Nuts
  • Non-Swagelok™ nuts with two notches on outer surface
  • Inner taper of the nut corresponds to angle of ferrule, ensuring an even closure of the ferrule around the whole column to eliminate leaks
  • Ferrules are easily removed from nut while still attached to capillary column
  • Reusable
