Description

Use with empty FastPrep™ tubes. Purple Caps are screw caps with an O-ring for use with 2 mL microfuge tubes. These caps are sold separately for those who wish to fill their own Lysing Matrix E tubes for prepare samples for homogenization.

  • Purple Caps fit empty FastPrep™ tubes and are used in FastPrep™ systems.
  • Add sample to empty tube, add Lysing Matrix E material and lysing buffer, and apply cap. Process using FastPrep™ instrument or other bead-beater to lyse, grind or homogenize sample.
  • Purple caps are also found in the Fast DNA™ Spin Kit for Soil and Fast RNA™ Pro Soil Kit.
