Description

Manufactured according to European Pharmacopoeia Chapter 4 (4.2.2) and prepared in an ISO 9001 facility. Potassium Bromate, 0.033M, EP Grade, Reagecon™ is a ready-to-use volumetric solution with 5.511g/L KBrO3 in water. It is an oxidizing agent used as a laboratory reagent.

Potassium bromate is produced when bromine is passed through a hot solution of potassium hydroxide. This solution is prepared by mixing 5.5670g of potassium bromate primary standard with water and diluting it to 1L. This yields a 0.1M solution with about 5.511g/L KBrO3.
