Used as an ion pairing reagent for HPLC and as an anionic surfactant. n-1-Hexanesulfonic Acid Sodium Salt Monohydrate, MP Biomedicals has a low molecular weight that will not form micelles in solution.

Sodium hexanesulfonate is utilized in the analysis of small organic compounds, and pharmaceutical products and metabolites by such techniques as HPLC.

  • The anionic sulfonate counterion permits the separation and resolution of positively charged analytes
  • Because of its low molecular weight, it will not form micelles in solution and therefore has no CMC value
