Methyl Ethyl Ketone 25L, Solveco
Description
Methyl ethyl ketone (commonly referred to as MEK or Butanone) is a highly effective solvent capable of dissolving a wide range of substances. It is widely used in industrial processes involving rubber, resins, cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose-based coatings, and vinyl films.
Due to its excellent solvency and fast evaporation rate, MEK is frequently used in the production of plastics, textiles, and paraffin wax. It is also a common component in household and commercial products such as lacquers, varnishes, paint removers, and cleaning agents.
Additionally, MEK is used as a denaturant in the formulation of industrial-grade alcohols.
