Suitable for use as an eluent in LC-MS. Methanol, LC-MS Grade, Scharlab is free from alkaline impurities that can lead to the rise of ions that increase background noise and cause interference in the spectrum.

LC-MS is a powerful technique combining separation by HPLC with the structural information obtained by MS. Its application is widespread in the scientific and pharmaceutical fields as well as in biotechnology and pesticide residue analysis.

  • Designed with particularly low content (<100 ppb) of alkaline metals, especially K and Na
  • Microfiltered through a 0.22μm filter to eliminate any solid particles
  • Quality of the eluents is ensured by means of suitability tests for LC-MS
  • To improve ion generation, the addition of a volatile organic acid to the mobile phase is recommended
