Achieve maximum recovery of microorganisms during dilution with this protective, isotonic Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Maximum Recovery Diluent.
The presence of peptone in the diluent provides viable counts to ensure accurate quantitative procedures are performed. The isotonic strength of the diluent ensures recovery of organisms from various sources which may be vulnerable in distilled water or aqueous suspensions. The low peptone concentration in the diluent reduces organism multiplication in the sample for at least 45 minutes during the dilution stage1,2
