  • Liquid Proteinase K is a recombinant enzyme from Tritirachium album and is expressed in Pichia pastoris
  • Has the identical molecular structure and enzymatic characteristics as the native protein.
  • Very robust endopeptidase that inactivates proteins without any pronounced cleavage specificity
  • Very active in the presence of agents that denature proteins (e.g., SDS and urea)
  • Destructs proteins in cell lysates and promotes the isolation of nucleic acids
  • Rapidly inactivates nucleases, such as DNases and RNase
