Control or destroy destructive microorganisms such as bacteria and mycoplasma. Cytiva HyClone™ Gentamicin solution is a broad spectrum cell culture antibiotic that is nontoxic to viruses and mammalian cells at antibacterial levels.

  • Active against gram positive and gram negative bacteria and mycoplasma; useful for long-term virus and tissue culture studies
  • Used as an antibacterial or antimycobacterial
  • Interferes with bacterial protein synthesis by binding to L6 protein of 50S ribosomal subunit
  • Common working concentration is 5μg/mL
  • Cytotoxic at >300μg/mL
