Description

Supports sample prefreezing, lyophilization, and stoppering for freeze drying workflows.

  • Three 16.5 x 12 in. temperature-controlled (±1°C), adjustable shelves with sample temperature sensors
  • The chamber pre-freezes samples to save time and money by eliminating the need for a separate freezer and product transfer
  • Up to 594 sq. inches of shelf space
  • Circulating fluid in shelves ranges from -40 to +40°C
  • Environmentally friendly, HCFC/CFC-free refrigeration system compliant with EU low-GWP requirements
  • Built-in pneumatic mechanism stoppers containers on all three shelves
  • A clear acrylic viewing door provides complete visibility of shelves
  • 1/8 in. OD backfill port introduces sterile air or inert gas from an outside source to protect samples from atmospheric moisture and contaminants
  • Lyo-Works™ OS provides real-time display of freeze dryer and tray dryer parameters on a 5 in. full-color capacitive touch screen on connected FreeZone 6, 12, or 18 L Freeze Dryer (sold separately)
  • Data may be exported via USB or Ethernet
  • The microprocessor-based controller stores and repeats up to 30 temperature programs, each with up to 16 steps
  • The display provides navigation to manual or program mode, probe temperatures, vacuum (mBar, Torr, or Pa), current program step, time remaining in the current step, end-of-program status, and alarms
  • Alerts and current operating parameter readings can be sent automatically to user-entered email addresses
  • Optional 6-port tray dryer manifold accommodates 1/2 in. or 3/4 in. flask adapters and connects to flasks and other glassware
  • An optional built-in isolation valve separates the stoppering tray dryer from the freeze dryer to shorten vacuum reestablishment time and help determine the endpoint.
  • Requires a freeze dryer, a vacuum pump with displacement of at least 163 L/min, and freeze-dry glassware (if not bulk freeze drying) (not included)
