Description

Activate the indicator solution before use. Hanna Instruments™ Free Chlorine Reagent Set for PCA Series Process Analyzers are used for chlorine measurement in fresh water. Sets are available for use with short-term and long-term measurements.

Each set includes a 500mL bottle of indicator reagent, a 500mL bottle of buffer reagent and powdered DPD reagent (either in a bottle or individual packets). To use the reagent set, the solution will need to be activated:

  • Add the powder from the bottle or packets into the bottle containing indicator solution
  • Replace the cap and shake the bottle for a few minutes to make sure that the powder is completely dissolved
  • The indicator solution is now activated and ready to be installed in the PCA (Process Color Analyzer)
  • Shake the buffer solution bottle well before installing it in the analyzer—any residual precipitate will not affect readings
