Description

Synthesize methylated DNA with the modified nucleotide dm5CTP.

dm5CTP (2'-deoxy-5'-methylcytidine 5'-triphosphate) modified nucleotide is used in synthesis of methylated DNA. It supplied as 10 mM aqueous solution titrated to pH 7.0 with NaOH.

dm5CTP can be enzymatically incorporated into DNA with Taq DNA Polymerase, Klenow Fragment.

General Characteristics:
  • lambdamax = 279nm, extinction coefficient = 8.77x103 M-1 x cm-1 (pH 7.0)
Quality Control:
  • Functionally tested in PCR with taq DNA Polymerase
  • Greater than 96% purity confirmed by HPLC
  • Free of endo-, exodeoxyribonuclease, phosphatase and nicking activities
