Gibco™ ExpiFectamine™ CHO Transfection Kit

The ExpiFectamine CHO Transfection Kit is a core component of the ExpiCHO Expression System Kit (Cat. No. A29133) and enables transient transfection of high-density cultures of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. The high-efficiency, cationic transfection reagent, coupled with an optimized transfection enhancer and culture feed, will help power the highest possible level of protein expression from ExpiCHO-S Cells (Cat. No. A29127) cultured in ExpiCHO Expression Medium (Cat. No. A2910001).
All components work together synergistically with expression yields of 1–3 g per L of transfected culture demonstrated for some antibody and non-antibody proteins.

- Enables robust and reproducible transfection results, giving you greater confidence in your results and ability to use CHO cells from research to discovery
- Achieve >90% transfection efficiency of high-density suspension CHO cell culture, with matching transfection enhancer and culture feed to boost transfection performance and protein expression
- Uses one-third to one-half less plasmid DNA than other transfection reagents
- Scale growth and transfection in culture formats from <1 mL in deep well plates up to 5 L when using Nalgene angled-bottom shake flasks
- Flexible, reliable culture and transfection protocols with multiple options that readily fit into current transient expression workflows
The ExpiFectamine CHO Transfection Kit is specifically designed to work with ExpiCHO-S Cells in the ExpiCHO Expression System Kit. The transfection kit supplies the cationic ExpiFectamine CHO Transfection Reagent, ExpiFectamine CHO Transfection Enhancer, and ExpiCHO Feed. ExpiCHO-S Cells and ExpiCHO Expression Medium are available separately.
