Description
In cermets used as nuclear reaction control rodsDysprosium trioxide is used with nickel in cermets, which are used as nuclear reactor control rods. It is also used in ceramics, glass, phosphors, lasers and dysprosium metal halide lamps. It is an important raw material to prepare dysprosium(III) salts by reacting with acids.
