Description

Filled with a desiccant, the drying tube protects a reaction mixture in a flask from moisture.

The drying tube is usually an angled glass tube with a standard ground joint at one end. The other end is open. For filling the drying tube is first stuffed with a little cotton wool, then the drying agent is filled in and finally another piece of cotton wool prevents the drying agent from falling out.
