Description
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min. Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 min at room temperature. A suggested positive control is tonsil tissue.
CD138/Syndecan-1 is a transmembrane heparin sulphate proteoglycan which is made up of one core protein and five glycosaminoglycan. CD138 is expected to play a role in cell adhesion. It is expressed on the surface of pre-B cells and plasma cells but is absent from mature B cells. It is lost from the apoptotic myeloma cells.Specifications
