Description

Nickel Electro™ Calibration Record provides a measurement of precision about set points with maximum and minimum sensitivity readings obtained.

  • The measurements reported on a calibration record will be carried out using instruments whose values are traceable to National Standard.
  • The completed calibration record will be enclosed at the rear of the instruction book accompanying the Clifton unit carrying the following information
    • Unique record number for traceability.
    • Serial number of the unit.
    • Instrument it was checked against.
    • Calibration temperature and actual sensitivity results.
  • The calibration record provides a measurement of precision about set point with maximum and minimum sensitivity readings obtained.
  • Precision is defined as (1) The ability of a measurement to be consistently reproduced and (2) The number of significant digits to which a value has been reliably measured.
  • The calibration record does not provide or assures any form of accuracy. Accuracy is defined as the ability of a measurement to match the actual value of the quantity being measured.
