Cadmium sulfate is used in pigments and electroplating. It acts as an accelerator in cement formation. It is also employed as lubricants. Further, it is useful for the electroplating of cadmium in electronic circuits. It serves as a precursor to prepare cadmium-based pigment like cadmium sulfide. In the Western standard cell, it is used for electrolyte.
