Two isoforms of SARG are produced by alternative splicing encoding 64 kDa and 38 kDa proteins, and both isoforms can be recognized by this antibody (Product No. 14888-1-AP).

Specifically androgen-regulated gene protein (SARG), encoded by C1orf116, is a 601-aa protein considered putative androgen-specific receptor. SARG mRNA is highly expressed in prostate and can be up-regulated by androgens, but not by glucocorticoids. Little is known about the function of SARG to date.
