Applications
1-Adamantanamine hydrochloride is used in the prophylactic or symptomatic treatment of influenza A. It is also used as an antiparkinsonian agent, to treat extra pyramidal reactions, and for postherpetic neuralgia. It is also used an NMDA-receptor antagoinst.

Soluble in water (50 mg/ml), ethanol (38 mg/ml at 25°C), chloroform (1:18), DMSO (38 mg/ml at 25°C), and methanol

Notes
Hygroscopic. Store in cool dry place in tightly closed container. With good ventilation. Store away from oxidizing agent and water/moisture.
