Tanks
Tanks fill a host of positions in the lab, from the storage, mixture and dispensation of reagents to thin-layer chromatography (TLC) tanks for the separation of non-volatile materials to the demonstration of wavelengths. Tanks are available constructed from myriad materials, including metal, plastic and glass. Plastic tanks, available at a lower cost than similar stainless-steel tanks, are impact- and shatter-resistant and can withstand most acids, alcohols and bases. Safety metal tanks are constructed of lead-free coated steel, while glass tanks are beneficial for TLC developing.
