Invitrogen™ Human PDGF-BB Recombinant Protein
Recombinant Protein
Brand: Invitrogen™ RP8657
Additional Details : Weight : 0.01000kg
Description
PDGF-BB (human) Recombinant Protein, RP-8657, from Invitrogen.
Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) is a mitogenic peptide growth hormone carried in the alpha-granules of platelets and is released when platelets adhere to traumatized tissues. Connective tissue cells near the traumatized region respond by initiating the process of replication. The synthesis of PDGF can be induced by IL-1, IL-6, TNF-alpha, TGF-beta and EGF. Recombinant human PDGF-BB is a non-glycosylated, disulfide-linked homodimer, containing two 109 amino acid chains, with a total molecular weight of 24.3 kDa. Purity is typically greater than 95% and endotoxin level less than 1 EU/ug. The expected biological activity (ED50) is determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of 3T3 indicator cells and is typically 1-3 ng/mL. The specific activity of this protein is 1x10^6 units/mg. Reconstitute using sterile water at 0.1mg/mL and centrifuge prior to opening vial. Gently pipet solution down the sides of the vial. DO NOT VORTEX sample. Store reconstituted material at -20°C and add 0.1% BSA for additional stability.
